I´m finding it rather hard to type anything today.
It´s been eventful: I´ve spent most of the day with different people and family friends, all while enduring a raging headache. Thank God for Ibuprofen.
I had to say goodbye to my friend Rena, who was visiting (really short visit--4 days!) on her way back to London from Ecuador. I celebrated my birthday with her and Sara and another few friends yesterday too (one of which is also visiting from Argentina). Technically, it was my early birthday and their late birthday celebration, but hey. It´s much more fun to exchange presents that way. I´ll talk about the party more tomorrow.
Anyhow, I said goodbye to my friend Rena--our families met to eat tapas today; she leaves tomorrow morning. How sad. I´ll miss her. Fortunately, I know I´ll be going to Hyper Japan in London this summer, so I know it´ll be just a few months instead of more than 9 like last time.
Then, this afternoon, we met another group of family friends that I hadn´t seen in ages--and their daughters, who, despite being a bit older than me, are still good friends. I hadn´t seen one of them in a year (Maria)!! And the other two about as long too (Ana and Irene). I really like the kinds of friendships where you´re just able to pick up wherever you left off like it was nothing, despite the time it´s been since you last saw each other. Maria (one of the girls) was the first of my friends to have a baby......who´s now a year and three months old (her name is Noa). Funnily enough, while talking, I found out that one of my other friends was actually one of their friends as well, but we´d had no idea about it (go figure).
Ibuprofen is a lifesaver. I really couldn´t have survived the day without it. My energy is at an all-time low. It would have been terrible to break that promise I made only a few days after I made it, though, so I´m just making a bit of a personal blog post here. Hope nobody minds.
Oh, one last thing--finally, I´ve gotten my invoice from Baby and paid for the black Usakumya pochette! I just need to get their confirmation mail back, and they´ll ship it....very exciting!! I was hoping that they´d be quicker and I could have it on time for my brthday, but it doesn´t look like that..... boo. Also, Baby´s shipping is a killer. 3000 yen for the pochette´s shipping. Robbery! It´s nearly half the pochette´s price!! =.=*** But I couldn´t back down....no matter that the people who answered my enquiry invoice were a bit curt when they replied. *sigh* Still, it makes me hesitant to buy from their website again. I´ll see, I guess. I´m going to keep my fingers crossed that it doesn´t get hit by customs either, since it´s a package under 100 euros. (¬ ¬ though not after adding the darned shipping....).
Oh, I´ll be posting a review for the Garnier BB Cream in just a few days. Yesterday, I realized that I hadn´t reviewed it yet . I´m going to wait for a particularly sunny day so that I can take natural light photos of my skin before and after using the BB cream.
